Marblehead Harbor – The Sketchbook Project

Here is a picture from the balcony of The Corninthian Club in Marblehead, MA. This breathtaking view was what we had to endure while eating a delicious salmon dinner. I decided about a month ago to participate in the 2010 sketchbook project so I am getting all of my resources together. The topic I chose  is… “If you lived here” (at least I think that was what they called it!).  I have been snapping resource pics everywhere I go and going everywhere to get resource info. I now know what all these past artists meant by “suffering for their art”.  If you too like to sketch and could handle suffering for your art, take part in this really neat project. It could give you legitimate reasons to take trips, visit friends etc. They have some very inspirational and/or funny topics to work with and your moleskin will travel around the country when you’re done!  The deadline to join  is at the end of October so check it out soon at arthousecoop.com. and let me know if you decide to participate. I’d love to know what topic you choose.
